Quality Control Technician

Boston Sand & Gravel is looking for a Quality Control Technician that is positive and motivated. The role would consist of testing concrete using accepted methods to sample and test concrete and other materials for the purpose of quality and process control and / or acceptance. 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance of all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

  • Monitor and test process functions & materials daily to ensure our products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer.

  • Monitor existing mixes to maintain quality requirements

  • Evaluate new mix designs and products by trial procedures.

  • Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.

  • Prepare and record accurate information and forward to personnel in a timely manner.

  • Ability to set priorities and work quickly in a fast paced environment with multiple variables.

  • Monitor schedules making sure that correct products are entered and required materials are readily available.

  • Moderate lifting, shovel and carry material in buckets for testing.

  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Qualifications:

  • BA or Engineering degree a plus               

  • Current Driver’s License and reliable source of transportation

  • ACI Level 1 a plus

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and customers at all times.

  • Positive attitude and self-motivation is a must
